what the world needs now is love
it's not the wordly, lustly kind
but I'm talking about aga-pe love
in first corinthians, 13th chapter
tells us how all the things of love
are shown and carried out
though I speak with the tongues
of man and angels across the land
and have not love, i'm like a man
standing beating cymbals in his hands
and though i have the gift of prophecy
and understand mysteries
and have all knowledge and faith
to move mountains across the seas
and though I bestow all my goods
to feed the poor each and every day
and give my body to be burned
it's just me they're burning away
charity suffers long and is kind
does not behave itself unseemingly
and it's not puffed up out of its mind
and it rejoices not in iniquity
but rejoices in the truth
and then it bareth, believeth, hopeth
all things and it surely endures
charity never fails
though knowledge will cease
and when prophesy is past
then charity will surely increase
