i once knew a man, he was deep in christ
baptised and washed in blood
the perfect sacrifice
he gave his heart to the lord
and then did his will
but when temptation came along
he fell out of the masters will
the race is not given to the swift
nor the battle to the to the strong
but it's to the one
that just keeps a holdin on
the one that endures to the end
the same one shall be saved
and when temptation comes
and knocks him down
he gets up and he tries again
